Obituary: John Wilson


NWNJBA member John A. Wilson, Jr. passed away April 19.


A lifelong resident of West Amwell Township, John served in the United States Navy for 21 years. During his service time, he worked as an electronics technician in various capacities, including submarine repair and submarine damage control, and was an instructor in many areas. John was proficient in welding, electrical work, electronics, plumbing, and various other aspects of construction. For the past five years he worked as an electrician’s assistant for A.C.H. Electrical in Lambertville.


Son of the late John A. Wilson, Sr. and Carol Bowers Wilson, uncle of the late Joseph Britton, he is survived by his sister Kimberly Britton and her husband Scott, sister Cyndee Sindelar and her husband Martin, and nephew Thomas Britton.


John was a longtime member of Northwest and an avid beekeeper. He kept bees on his property in Lambertville as well as other surrounding areas. John was knowledgeable in all aspects of keeping bees from cutouts to queen rearing. He was known in town as the bee guy and was the first person people called when they had an issue with bees. He had a wealth of knowledge and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow beekeepers. John will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.
